Thanks! :)
The dreaded cold creeped up on us and made it's presence known today. It was apparent that we weren't ready by the looks of the kids when I picked them up from recess and by how many wanted to keep their coats on well after recess was finished. I noticed a lot of kids shivering in sweatshirts, coats pulled up over heads, cold bare fingers curled up in sleeves, and TONS of pink cheeks and noses! All kids will go outside each day unless it is below zero, raining, or there is dangerous weather. If your child is ill, we need a doctor's note in order for them to go to the nurse's office during recess. Please keep that in mind when you help your child dress appropriately for the day. I'd say it's about time for warm winter coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and before we know it...GULP...boots and snowpants. Labeling these items with your child's name is an enormous help when we find the mounds of leftovers in the hallway at the end of the day. Otherwise it all goes to the lost and found. Better start digging in the good old winter closet....
